If you are overwhelmed by the sheer amount of choice this year, don’t worry, I’ve got you.
BuzzFeed Staff
Luckily, I just so happen to be both a beauty calendar enthusiast and expert, and I am here to help you make the all-important decision for 2024.
While I can’t tell you exactly which one to buy — after all, we all have different priorities and preferences — I can help break down everything there is to know about some of the top calendars available in the UK this year.
Whether you’re all about self-care, a makeup obsessive, or mostly just want a calendar that will look pretty by your fireplace, I’ve got you — and they are all conveniently listed in price order.
So, without further ado, let’s find you an advent calendar.
Before we get into it, a quick note on the key that I have provided for each calendar to highlight what kind of products you will find inside. For reference, lip products that aren’t explicitly makeup, e.g. lip balms, oils, and masks, are counted under “Skincare.”
Meanwhile, body scrubs felt more suited to “Body Care” and shampoos and conditioners to “Haircare” than “Bath/ Shower,” which is instead focused on shower gels, soaps, and bath bombs, etc.

My Top 3: Pistachio Ice Hand Cream, Egg Nog Lip Balm, Fig Tree Body Wash.
If you’d love nothing more than an advent calendar that also doubles as an extra Christmas decoration, then look no further than Cath Kidston’s absolutely adorable hand-painted festive doll’s house.
Yep, while this might be the cheapest option on our list, Cath Kidston certainly haven't done things by halves, with a beautiful Christmassy scene hiding 24 deliciously scented bath and body products to make your December.
And the products included are thankfully just as brilliant as the calendar’s aesthetic, with a great variety of both festive and non-festive hand creams, lotions, soaps, and lip balms — to name a few.
After I became obsessed with the brand’s carnival-inspired collection earlier this year, I was thrilled to see multiple products — including a hand soak! — in Pistachio Ice, which is a seriously unique scent. There’s also a new Vanilla Musk Body Spray that is perfect for anybody who is trying to embody the Vanilla Girl Aesthetic that has been sweeping TikTok all year.
The more Christmassy offerings include Red Berry & Cedar, Fig Tree, and Egg Nog — with the latter being particularly exciting as it’s the first of its kind that I have found in the UK!

My Top 3: Berry & Bright Body Wash, Pout About It™ Hydrogel Lip Mask, Cloud of Dreams™ Whipped Night Cream.
Nestled away in a beautiful star-shaped box are 24 gorgeous-smelling pick-me-ups that’ll have you ready for party season in no time. Soap & Glory’s advent calendar contains everything you need to clean, scrub, and moisturize yourself from head to toe, from morning ’til night with a great variety of their standout products.
It perfectly balances the brand’s classics, like Clean On Me and the Righteous Butter, with special festive scents to get you into the Christmas spirit. The sheer range of products is equally exciting, with everything from rollerball fragrances to sheet masks and under-eye patches included — meaning that you can pretty much test out all of Soap & Glory’s big bath and body hitters in one fell swoop.
This calendar would be an excellent choice for all of the self-care girlies out there, and by the time the big day rolls around, you’ll have everything you could possibly need for an extra special Christmas Day pamper session.

My Top 3: Revolution Strawberry Lip Mask, Beam Bright Highlighter In Pink Seduction, Pout Bomb In Shimmer.
Revolution Beauty’s 2024 advent calendar is the cheapest option available for all of the makeup lovers out there, making it the ideal choice for those who are on a budget but still want the excitement of filling up their cosmetics bag throughout December.
A lot of the items are perfect for party season, with plenty of shimmer and sparkle — including rhinestone face and body gems — and I couldn’t help but think that they would come together for an ideal New Year’s look, a vibe that is echoed by the calendar’s pretty iridescent pink aesthetic.
Revolution Beauty tends to appeal the most to younger buyers, and this would be the perfect treat for a teenager or makeup newbie who wants the opportunity to experiment with new products without a hefty price tag.

My Top 3: Hydraluminous Day Gel, ProArtist 12-Hour Eyeliner in Black, Future Renew Serum.
No7 has really upped its advent calendar game in recent years, and in 2024, it has not one but two options up for grabs. The first is its 25 Days of Beauty Secrets calendar, which is jam-packed with some of the brand’s must-have products, including its incredibly popular Future Renew range.
Boasting a firming booster serum, restoring eye cream, and retinol night concentrate, No7 is the perfect choice for those who are in the market for anti-aging products and renewing skincare.
But that’s not all, with plenty of makeup also featuring in the calendar — including brand new ProArtist cosmetics that are well worth the hype.
While most brands opt for a bit of extra sparkle and glamour with their advent calendar makeup products, it’s notable that No7’s inclusions are much more classic and focus on restocking your everyday necessities, such as black mascara and Nude Chic lipstick and liner.
All of this makes No7 the ideal choice for a slightly older demographic who would like to spend the festive season making sure they are positively glowing on Christmas Day.

My Top 3: Hydrating Lip Oil in Sparkler, Juice Pot Lip & Cheek Tint in Cayenne, Glow Milk Luminizing Gel Primer in Honey.
London-based cosmetic company Beauty Crop has been going viral on TikTok for a while now, but if you need an introduction, their entire mission is to create non-toxic, vegan products that are high-performing while keeping an affordable price tag — and it’s safe to say that they deliver.
This year, you can try out a whole load of their products for a fraction of the price with the brand’s first-ever advent calendar, which is stuffed full of their social media heroes, such as the Oui Cherie Hydrating Gripping Primer and seriously popular Juice Pots.
But, perhaps even more excitingly, nine of the items are exclusive to the calendar, and have never before been released — making it a perfect choice for Beauty Crop loyalists and newbies alike.
Out of the 26 products, an impressive 23 of them are full size — including my personal favorite: the Glow Milk Luminizing Gel Primer, which will leave your skin looking naturally dewy with a golden glow, guaranteeing compliments every time you step out of the house!
This calendar would be the perfect choice for anybody who wants to fill up their makeup bag with products that are kind to your skin while still being unique and exciting with attention-grabbing packaging.

My Top 3: Medik8 Hyrda8 B5 Serum, Mitchell & Peach English Leaf Candle, Rituals The Ritual of Ayurveda Hair & Body Mist.
As a beauty subscription service that sends out monthly boxes full of exciting products to subscribers all year, it’s safe to say that Glossybox is more than a bit experienced when it comes to curating the perfect mix of items.
In fact, it’s pretty unsurprising that Glossybox nailed this whole advent calendar thing in 2024, with this year’s offering jam-packed with 29 items — and yes, that means that on a couple of days in December, there will be multiple goodies in a single box.
The calendar consists of an impressive variety of products, including top-name brands like Medik8 and Iconic London, with its inclusion of more miscellaneous items also a pretty big cherry on top.
You see, Glossybox has thought of everything, and in addition to things like makeup and body care, they have included a pair of Wrist Wash Bands (which, if you’re wondering, are an absolute game-changer when it comes to washing your face!), a brush set, sleep mask, and even a candle.
This calendar is a great choice for people who love a bit of variety, and even more tempting for Glossybox subscribers, who can get an impressive £15 off the calendar’s retail price.

My Top 3: Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, Nails Inc Nude In Noelle, Bloom & Blossom Keep Dancing Foot & Leg Mist.
Last year, Marks & Spencer impressed us all with their innovative idea of putting an advent calendar inside a usable vanity case, and I am pleased to report that they have done the same this year — but arguably even better.
Yes, once again, the calendar itself is gift number one, with 25 goodies seamlessly fitting inside a large, super plush velvet vanity case with a gorgeous pink lining that you can use again and again once Christmas is over.
Every item is hidden in its own beautifully decorated numbered box for you to open each day, which also follows the aesthetically pleasing pink and navy theme.
But don’t worry, M&S certainly aren’t style over substance, with their calendar showcasing the very best of both M&S beauty and their seriously impressive brand partners, which includes Cowshed, Philip Kingsley, and Benefit, to name a few.
In fact, the M&S calendar is a perfect mix of every type of product, with haircare, fragrance, and makeup items mixed in with bath and body products — and even a couple of nail polishes in a perfect choice of shades for the festive season thrown in for good measure.
This is the perfect choice for somebody who would like a little bit of everything throughout the month of December, and it is extra appealing to loyal M&S shoppers as it is available to buy for £50 when you spend £35 on clothing, home, and beauty in-store or online.
In other words, this calendar gives you a pretty good excuse to treat yourself while doing your Christmas shopping!

My Top 3: This Works Perfect Legs Skin Miracle, Cowshed RELAX Calming Body Lotion, Bloom & Blossom PRESS PAUSE Self Care Spray.
Next is another calendar that delivers a gorgeous mix of products this year, this time in the form of a stunning pink and gold cracker.
Neom, NUXE, and Yankee Candle are just some of the standout brands to feature in this calendar, which also contains some pretty unique products that I have personally not seen in any other option.
This includes the Bloom & Blossom self-care spray, which helps to evoke a sense of calm thanks to its jasmine, Sicilian lavender, and ylang-ylang fragrance, and the OSKIA Super R & Super C Duo capsules, which are also an advent calendar novelty.
While there are, of course, still plenty of typical beauty advent calendar products included, Next would be a great option for people who like to try out new products in addition to the usual suspects.
Makeup: ✅ Skincare: ✅ Body Care: ✅ Bath/ Shower: ✅ Haircare: ✅ Fragrance: ✅ Other: ✅ [Candle, Complexion Sponge, Nail Polish]
Next also has a luxury beauty advent calendar worth £768 available for £170.

My Top 3: Scent Booster & Softener in 1 Jing, Elixir Collection Miracle Keratin Recovery Hair Mask, The Ritual of Mehr Hair & Body Mist.
Rituals have no less than three advent calendars up for grabs this year, and it’s safe to say that they are all absolute showstoppers, inspired by the brand’s Dutch origins.
The most budget-friendly of the calendars is the Classic, which is inspired by Amsterdam’s famous canal houses, and would blend right in with your Christmas decorations with its quaint festive charm.
The products inside are equally exciting, and if fragrance is your kind of thing, you probably can’t go too wrong with Rituals this year. In addition to making sure that your body, skin, and home smell beautiful with a little help from their candles, bath, and body products, the advent calendar goes one step further by making sure that your clothes smell gorgeous, too.
Yes, all three of Rituals’ offerings contain a very unique scent booster and softener for laundry, something that I really haven’t seen in an advent calendar before!

If you like the sound of this calendar but have a bit more money to spend, then why not check out the Deluxe, which retails for £114.90 (value £196) and is an artistic interpretation of Amsterdam’s beautiful canals and architecture.
The Premium is also available for £172 (value £314.90) and consists of 24 goodies hiding in stunning miniature houses that are inspired by the magic of Wintertime Amsterdam.
The products and sizes included in the three advent calendars vary, so make sure you check out the content description before making your final decision!

My Top 3: Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Goldgasm, Milk Makeup Lip & Cheek in Work, Sunday Riley Autocorrect Eye Cream.
If you wanted the opportunity to test out all of the viral brands that you’ve seen on TikTok this year, then the ASOS advent calendar might just be the one for you.
Filled to the brim with a whole bunch of cult products from the likes of Sol de Janeiro, Milk, and Inkey List — to name a few — this calendar has a little bit of everything rather than skewing towards just skincare or makeup or haircare or body care.
(And, for the record, it also includes a tiny taster of the Sunday Riley Autocorrect Eye Cream that I have sworn by for the last three years when it comes to getting rid of dark circles!)
At just under £100, this is one of the more mid-range calendars and is the perfect option for anybody who likes to mix and match their brands and try new products — I have a feeling that you will find at least one new favorite here!

My Top 3: Drunk Elephant Beste Jelly Cleanser, REN Clean Skincare Evercalm™ Overnight Recovery Balm, Fenty Beauty Velvet Icon Liquid Lipstick in Riri.
It’s indisputable that Boots has upped its repertoire in recent years and established itself as somewhat of a beauty giant on the high street, and this is definitely reflected in its luxury 2024 advent calendar.
All of the exciting high-end brands that they now stock in-store and online have been packed into a seriously impressive 24 boxes that are sure to make your December.
With everything from Drunk Elephant to Fenty Beauty included in this year’s calendar, it is the perfect opportunity to familiarize yourself with some exciting new products, or simply stock up on your favorites.
Boots’ calendar has everything you need to prepare yourself for the big day, including a whole variety of skincare products to make sure that you are feeling your best amid the Christmas parties and cheese boards.
13 of the 24 products are full size, with the others perfect for adding to your handbag cosmetics kit or saving for travel.
All in all, Boots is a pretty safe choice for anybody who likes a good balance of products with an affordable price tag.

My Top 3: ICONIC London Prep-Set-Glow Spray in Original, Color Wow Raise the Root Thicken and Lift Spray, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum.
In recent years, LookFantastic has proven itself to be a, well, fantastic advent calendar option for beauty obsessives who don’t want to break the bank, and this year’s is no exception.
The attention-grabbing silver and navy box is simple but effective, and filled to the brim with exciting products — including 13 that are full-size.
LookFantastic’s advent calendar includes cult brands like Sol de Janeiro and Medik8, mixed with some timeless classics like the perfect neutral Lustreglass Sheer-Shine lipstick from MAC, and Wella shampoo and conditioner.
A standout for me is undeniably the ICONIC London Prep-Set-Glow spray, which will give your makeup a glowy finish that is perfect for the festive season, and there is even a £30 voucher for esteemed skincare brand FOREO included.

My Top 3: Mini Sugar Plum Sparkle Bubble Bar, Father Christmas Bath Bomb, Groovy Snow Fairy Bath Bomb.
Lush is the kind of brand that needs no introduction, so it’s perhaps unsurprising that their advent calendar would be the perfect match for all of the bath lovers out there.
Their 29 High Street calendar is one of three of Lush's offerings this year, and the kitsch townhouse design that is home to 25 of the brand's standout products couldn't be more adorable!
Not only will this calendar look incredible on display throughout the month of December, it will leave you feeling positively pampered during the festive season, too.
29 High Street is comprised of both bath bombs and bubble bars, including five special characters inspired by Lush’s exclusive Christmas products.
The calendar boasts a mix of festive favorites and everyday scents, with the ever-popular Snow Fairy and Space Girl both included in the box that will have you smelling delicious over Christmas and beyond!

If you like the sound of this calendar but have a little more money to spend, why not check out the Lush Advent Calendar Refill, which retails for £180, or the Lush Advent Calendar, which retails for £190.
Both include other hero Lush products, including shower gels and body lotions, in addition to a variety of bath bombs and bubble bars.

My Top 3: Beauty Light Wand in Pinkgasm, AIRbrush Flawless Setting Spray, Charlotte's Magic Serum Crystal Elixir.
They don’t come much cuter than Charlotte’s Treasure Chest this year, with it impossible not to fall in love with the attention-grabbing heart-shaped box. But first, let’s talk about its contents.
Although this is only a 12-day countdown, it is the perfect combination of Charlotte Tilbury’s most iconic classic products — such as the Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes mascara, original Pillow Talk lipstick, and famous Magic Cream (all travel size) — and her more recent stand-outs, including a full-size Beauty Light Wand, which recently went viral on social media.
The perfectly curated selection of products would make an ideal starter kit for anybody who wants to familiarize themselves with Charlotte Tilbury as a brand, or a useful top-up for a makeup lover’s current collection.
In addition, most of the products included in this calendar are travel-size, and would come together as a great to-go kit of high-end essentials that you can keep in your handbag, at your office, or to pack for trips away.
As mentioned, the overall aesthetic of the calendar is a sight to behold, and with no explicit Christmas design, it could definitely be utilized all year round once the advent fun is over!
The box is incredibly sturdy, with 12 well-sized drawers adorned with a crystal-look knob for opening. In addition, the heart at the top of the box has a lid, providing even more storage space — did somebody say romancecore?

My Top 3: Stay Perfect Foundation Voucher, Pro Artist Lip Oil Strawberry Glaze, Skin Illuminator.
If you liked the sound of the earlier No7 option but have a slightly larger advent calendar budget this year, then their Ultimate Calendar might just be the one for you.
The two are very similar in what they offer buyers, but on different scales. Once again, there is a great variety of anti-aging products, classic neutral makeup items, the popular Future Renew range, and brand new ProArtist cosmetics — but this time, all of them are full-size.
Perhaps the most stand-out features of this calendar is that it includes a voucher for the brand’s Stay Perfect foundation; something that isn’t usually available in advent calendars for the obvious reason that everybody will need a different shade.
No7 has cleverly overcome this obstacle by inviting buyers to purchase the product either instore or online with the voucher, allowing them to go into their local Boots store for a color match to ensure the perfect coverage before ordering.
In addition, the Ultimate calendar has beautiful gold packaging that adds a seriously luxe touch to the unboxing experience, and there is even a mirror in the lid so that you can test out your daily treats straight away.

My Top 3: M.A.Cximal in Sweet Deal, Lustreglass in Business Casual, MACSTACK Mascara in Black Stack.
If you are a makeup lover, then I am sure that MAC Cosmetics needs no introduction, but if it did, then its attention-grabbing “Gift of Gold” advent calendar would be a great place to start.
The packaging itself is just a tease at the glitz and glamor it is hiding inside, with the 24 products providing everything that you need for the perfect Christmas Day look — and 18 of the items are full size!
In addition to cult classics, like the brand’s iconic MACSTACK mascara and Fix+ Original setting spray, there are a variety of shimmery eyeshadows and a choice of lipsticks to make sure that you have an option available for every occasion.
The M.A.Cximal lipstick in Sweet Deal is my personal go-to for an understated red, and the Business Casual Lustreglass Sheer-Shine lipstick adds a perfect pop of gloss for some extra va va voom.
But it isn’t all makeup, with the calendar also boasting plenty of skincare and even a limited edition sleep mask to make sure that you are as glowing and rested as possible for the big day.

My Top 3: Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil in Happy, NEOM Organics London Happiness Scented Candle, Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil.
When it comes to both quality and quantity, no other advent calendar does it quite like Sephora, whose Favourites offering this year has both the highest worth and most amount of products out of all of the calendars on this list.
While it is undeniably on the pricier side, Sephora truly delivers with super sleek boxes packed full of top-name brands like Makeup by Mario, Rare Beauty, and Nars, making the daily unboxing experience feel both incredibly luxe and exciting.
The 40 products mean that you will be surprised with several multiple-product days throughout December, and the calendar really does cover all bases when it comes to variety — with everything from makeup to fragrance delivered in abundance.
The Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil is a particular favorite of mine, but there are also a staggering 20 advent-exclusive products that aren’t available in any other calendar.
Sephora Favourites would be a great option if you have a bit more budget to splurge and want the opportunity to test out a whole bunch of famous brands and cult products that can be used from head to toe.

My Top 3: Marvellous Mandarin & Spice Festive Bauble, Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver Body Lotion, Delicious Rhubarb & Rose Eau De Toilette Travel Case Refill.
Molton Brown’s 2024 advent calendar truly has the wow factor thanks to its stunningly elegant gold packaging, designed by marble artist Natascha Maksimovic. As always, the box is secured with the traditional Molton Brown plaque and ribbon, which adds an extra air of class and makes the unboxing experience all the more special.
Personally, I am thrilled by the return of Molton Brown’s exclusive festive scents in this year’s box, with Marvellous Mandarin & Spice and Vintage With Elderflower, two of my favorite offerings.
However, there is also a great mix of the brand’s classic scents that can be enjoyed all year round, including their famous Fiery Pink Pepper, Orange & Bergamot, and Delicious Rhubarb & Rose.
Another highlight is the inclusion of not one but three products from their Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver range, which only launched in April of this year. The scent is zesty and invigorating, as well as totally unique with the classic Molton Brown je ne sais quoi.
While the brand is, of course, mostly known for its luxury shower gels, the calendar has a really broad variety of products, including a face wash, candle, hand creams, and a seriously convenient fragrance travel case that allows you to safely and stylishly carry your beautiful new eau de parfums in your handbag for on-the-go freshening up.
You can also test out the brand’s haircare origins with shampoo and conditioner minis that smell just as delicious as you probably expect.

My Top 3: Orange Bitters Cologne, Cypress & Grapevine Body & Hand Wash, Pomegranate Noir Mini Candle.
This calendar is obviously on the pricier end of the spectrum, but if perfumes are your kind of thing — and you are in a position to splurge — then this is definitely the one for you, with a variety of products to keep you smelling incredible this festive season.
While there are some absolutely gorgeous body washes, crèmes, candles and lotions included, this calendar leans heavier on the cologne side, which makes it any fragrance-lover’s dream. And, as you may expect from Jo Malone London, every scent is noticeably high quality and exudes class and luxury.
On the outside, the calendar has the chic cream and black Jo Malone London packaging that we know and love, but once opened, there is a retro festive design that comes together like a jigsaw puzzle with each individual drawer.
The box feels sturdy and has a magnetic closure, which means it can be reused time and again after December 25th, with the classic outer aesthetic making it perfect for storage.
